Definitions
Indirect representation - the narrator describes the character by representing their thoughts, actions and speech; reader infer what the character is like from this
Direct representation - the narrator tells the reader about he character ex. Miss Hancock was "overenthusiastic"
Point of View - the perspective from which the story is told
1st person point of View - the narrator tells the story from his/her point of view, which reveals his/her thoughts and feelings to the reader; uses "I"
Omniscient point of View - the narrator uses 3rd person (he, she, they) to tell the story and is all knowing; knows everyone's thoughts and feelings
Limited Omniscient point of view - the narrator uses 3rd person (he, she, they) , but know the thoughts and feelings of only one character
Objective point of view - the narrator uses 3rd person (he, she, they), but doesn't know anyone's thoughts and feelings; like a movie camera

Today we watched the movie "Cree Hunters of Mistastinee." Although, the movie was long it gave a great impression of quasi-traditional lifestyle of the Cree around James Bay was like (in the 70s). It demonstrated:
- how everyone worked together for the greater good (quasi-extended family group)
- how stewardship of the land worked
- how butchering, skinning and processing furs worked
- how kids were taught how to survive
- traditions around honoring the spirits of the animals
- division of labour

Fast Food Restaurant Presentation
Congratulations! You have the opportunity to propose a new fast food franchise in a foreign country. You must create a presentation to convince investors that your restaurant will be a successful because it is sensitive to your chosen religion.
You must include the following for your presentation:
A sample menu which includes a brief description and a picture of the following:

o 2 beverages
o 2 desserts
An advertisement that includes a slogan
A picture of the uniforms (male and female)
Building design
